BAD BISHES: a case of anomalies
Nicki Minaj and Lady Gaga...two very interesting personalities new on the music scene. Lady Gaga in all of her creepy glory is still growing on me and Nicki Minaj's bipolar sexuality constantly throws me for a loop.
GAGA: i personally don't think she needs the over the top antics...her talent is enough. but hey, a gimmick is a gimmick and clearly hers is working. she has a cult following that loves the blood drenched ground she so cleverly plays on. her image is becoming somewhat iconic and why wouldn't it? she is anything but cookie cutter and has a nice voice and interesting records to go along with her persona. im not quite anti-gaga...but i wouldn't say im pro-gaga. she's like that strange neighbor who you speak to but remain wary of.
MINAJ: now miss minaj, she definitely throws me for a loop. i wouldn't say she is extremely talented (but a lot of "femcees" as of late haven't been great lyricists) but she has a talent. she's cute and she has a knack for Mattel. this BarbieNation is growing at an exponential rate. i suppose Young Money will be known for making stars out of artists that have yet to release an album under their label. some say that Nicki is the hip hop version of Lady Gaga...to an extent, i can agree. both are making a mark on this industry in a way that other artists have yet to touch. Nicki Minaj has only released mixtapes and has been featured on songs with artists such as Robin Thicke and Mariah Carey. not to mention, Jay Z recommended Nicki be featured on the Robin Thicke joint...MAJOR!
cant knock the hustle of either one of these ladies....they are doing it by any means necessary and being "themselves" the whole way. all i ask?? remain consistent & true to the "you" that you portray.

i must admit that i was a tad late on the AudioPush bandwagon....what can i say? i was always WORKING the concerts/events they performed at so i never got a chance to enjoy the show. needless to say, i was def missing out. UPDATE!!!!
i know i have been gone for an extremely long time but my life has been going in a million different directions. soooo let me do a brief breakdown on some events....annnnd it goes a lil somethin like this! hit it...
hell yea, pomp&circumstance. GRADUATION BEEEYOTCHES! VEGAS NYE 2010. "i got a boyfriend now" cue that one Eve song..."gotta man & i think im gon' love him forever & forever we'll be together" *smile*. ReGen will be the takeover, baleeedat! Meet the Parents, this is SERIOUS? ummm i think im pregnant...not really buuut yea? MetroLink is my 2nd home. NoHo is EVERYTHING to me. my illegitimate parents are better than yours (word 2 @lymelitemedia @rickyanderson) annnd i love them. Grammy sunday was AMAZING! Guys&Dolls w Surf Club,Drake, Trey Songz, Lil Wayne, BEYONCE, Rih Rih, Jay Z, Solange, Usher and sooo many more. truly RIDICULOUS fun! (shout out 2 my cuzzo @geobella). i TOLD u guys BOXING KITTEN was the shit...garments will be featured in the new Alicia Keys & Beyonce' video. the ex is truly one of my BFFs #nodisrespect 2 my new boo. DISASTERS IN DATING: WHEN SIDECHICKS ATTACK.....
it has become extremely clear to me that in this age of social networking, reality television, and well-paid paparazzi...we are overly obsessed with instant gratification. our most apparent guilty pleasure?? INFIDELITY. the glorified heaux is running a muck....and i am SO sick of it. from carmen ortega to alicia keys, right on down to the beeeyotch around the corner who you KNOW is sleeping with your homegirl's boo....these tricks are EVERYWHERE!
now, i know some of you ladies are saying "blame the n*gga"...but when do we start looking at the (and this is a stretch by any means of the word) "women" involved in these situations?? some of these broads feel JUSTIFIED and ENTITLED to stake claim in these men who are supposed to be committed to their significant other. YES, the man is at fault too....but the women are JUST AS triflin' and stank! if you're on twitter you may have seen this new application poppin up called FORMSPRING; which is like an honesty box where ppl can ask you questions...anonymously. well being the social networking freak that i am i decided to sign up for this car wreck waiting to happen. like a week ago my boyfriend, @cyrahomega, says on twitter that he is in love with me. AS SOON as he posted it i received a formspring notification with a "question" that said: "in love? do you really think he's faithful to you?" i didnt even dignify that with an answer. a few days later i received another ANONYMOUS formspring question: "don't u think ur too old to be sprung like u are & on top of that, putting it all over the internet?"....now i HAD to address this via twitter.
i wasnt even upset about these questions, but rather, i was baffled. i am in a serious relationship and ppl have the audacity to not only question it's validity....but to make it seem as though i am in the wrong for talking about my relationship on MY OWN public forum. have we as society become THAT obsessed with drama that we cant appreciate...or let alone BELIEVE...that a normal, healthy relationship between two young people is thriving? we look down on the GIRLFRIENDS and WIVES like they are in the wrong...but give side beeeyotches/heauxs/jumpoffs/etc an elevated platform from which to broadcast their "relationships". WHERE DEY DO DAT AT??? im so blown. like for really, my mind is completely blown.
regular Joe Blows HATING Kimmie K, but giving Carmen Ortega props for effin Reggie Bush..?? *puzzled* Alicia Keys singing about super women but choosing to be with Swizz Beats even though he is/was CLEARLY married. buuuut she gets a pass b/c she is more famous than his WIFE Mashonda?? i dont get it. no ink is dry on divorce papers but A.Keys & Swizz are gallivanting around the world like a picture perfect couple. where's the respect??
ladies, instead of testing the boundaries of another woman's relationship...how about you RESPECT those boundaries?? #justathought
